WestMed’s software technology is highly secure.

We do not send any voice files via e-mail.

All file transfers are protected by the use of HTTPS secure Internet transfer protocols, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and 128-bit encryption technology to ensure private and secure communications between our clients, medical transcriptionists and the transcription data centre.  

In addition, the use of password protection enables our clients to determine the appropriate level of access for each staff member.

WestMed and its staff are bound by Australia's National Privacy Principles (NPP.9). Our software is Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliant and approved.
